Help Me, Lord.... To Share in Worship
All of mankind is engaged in worship...of one kind or another. The question is not whether we worship, but what we worship. Some of us choose to worship God. The result is a plentiful harvest of joy, peace, and abundance. Others distance themselves from God by foolishly worshiping things of this earth such as fame, fortune, or personal gratification. To do so is a terrible mistake with eternal consequences.
Whenever we place our love for material possessions above our love for God - or when we yield to the countless temptations of the world - we find ourselves engaged in a struggle between good and evil, a clash between God and Satan. Our responses to these struggles have implications that echo throughout our families and throughout our communities.
How can we ensure that we cast our lot with God? We do so, in part, by the practice of regular worship in the company of fellow believers. When we worship God faithfully and fervently, we are blessed. When we fail to worship God, for whatever
reason, we forfeit the spiritual gifts that He intends for us. Every day provides opportunities to put God where He belongs: at the center of our lives. When we do so, we worship not just with our words, but with deeds, and that's as it should be. For believers, God come first. ALWAYS FIRST!
If you will not worship God seven days a week, you do not worship Him on one day a week.
In the sanctuary, we discover beauty: the beauty of His presence.
Don't ever come to church without coming as though it were the first time, as though it could be the best time, and as though it might be the last time.
I have often prayed this prayer before:
Heavenly Father, this world can be a place of distractions and temptations. But when I worship You, Lord, You direct my path and You cleanse my heart. Let today and every day be a time of worship and praise. Let me worship You in everything that I think and do. Thank You, Lord for the priceless gift of Your Son Jesus. Let me be worthy of that gift, and let me give You the praise and the glory forever. AMEN
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

Help Me, Lord...To live Honestly
From the time we are children, we are taught that honesty is the best policy, but sometimes it is so hard to be honest and so easy to be less than honest. So, we convince ourselves that it's okay to tell "little white lies". But there's a problem: Little white lies tend to grow up, and when they do, they cause havoc and pain in our lives.
For Christian believers, the issue of honesty is not a topic for debate. Honesty is not just the best policy, it is God's policy, pure and simple. If we are to be servants worthy of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we avoid all lies, white or otherwise.
Sometime soon, perhaps even today, you will be tempted to sow the seeds of deception, perhaps in the form of a "harmless" white lie. Resist that temptation. Truth is God's way, and a lie -of whatever color- is not.
...and ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32
Lord, truth is Your commandment. You instruct me to seek truth and to live righteously. Help me, Lord, always to live according to Your commandments. Sometimes, Lord, speaking the truth can be difficult indeed, but let me speak forthrightly. And let me walk righteously and courageously so that others might see Your Grace reflected in my words and my deeds. AMEN
"The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out." Proverbs 10:9

Noah - Peaceful, "long-lived", Comforter
Noah William McCormick July '05
(Just came home from the hospital, photo by Beth Larkin)
On July 18, 2005, God sent into the McCormick family a precious gift. That gift was a little baby boy named NOAH WILLIAM McCORMICK. He was a gift we thought we would never be graced with, but GOD knows best! After 10 years of praying and giving it all to the Lord, HE saw fit to send us NOAH! Thank you GOD....
The name Noah means peaceful, "long-lived", and comforter, this little boy is all those things. He is one of the most peaceful children you will ever meet. He loves to be a peacemaker and not a fighter. He is peaceful when he plays by his self or with other children. Comforter is what he has been to us! Dunc and I sometimes think we are not going to make it being the ages we are with a 4 year old, but in a funny way Noah always mangers to comforted us in what ever the situation is! He has been a real JOY to this family! We know because of HIS strength, he will be able to accomplish what ever road God chooses for him. That is where the "long-lived" meaning of his name comes in place.
With all this being said, our baby boy is starting school (Pre K 4) tomorrow and it is just hard to believe! It seems like the first Sunday afternoon we had him home and Aunt Beth was playing with him and trying to get him fixed just right for his picture, so she could run and get birth annoucement made for me. It seems like yesterday I was rocking him to sleep and giving him a bottle!
Now please don't misunderstand me, I am excited about him going to school. He is very independent! He is going to do fine, but he look up at me while I was giving him his bath a while ago and said "Mommy, I am nervous about going to school tomorrow!" And I am having a really hard time with it! Just knowing I can't be there to follow him around and HELP him when he needs me!
Before he was born Aunt Beth spent a day in his nursery painting my favorite verse for a child on the wall and right now that is what gives me comforted:
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

Just thoughts!
Okay, hang on my mind is going in nine hundred directions and I just need to vent! You ever had a really GOOD day and the ole devil just did not like it! Well, maybe this is what this is, who knows!
Great weekend, my baby boy turned 4 years old on Saturday. My baby girl came home from being gone to M fuge youth camp all week! Noah had a happy birthday, Anna had a blessed youth trip, great worship service at church this morning, as for me and Dunc life is good, so all is well! Hmm?
Next week is going to be crazy! VBS at FBC of Bude every night, Baby sitting for Anna all week on top of Monday thru Friday Soccer practices and her trying to work at VBS. As for me and Dunc work and long nights of VBS and making sure Anna gets to where she needs to be! Whew.. My Daddy is having back surgery on Wednesday morning, my Mother is trying to take care of him and my baby boy! Oh, did I mention she thinks she is trying to get a Kidney stone? I can't go to be with Mother during Daddy surgery because Noah William has his 4 year old check up with Dr. Chris Charles Wednesday so that he can finish up on his school shots. Never fear my wonderful husband is going to be with Mother while Daddy is in surgery. Life is moving so FAST! No time for rest, No time for nothing but being in and out a car going, going and going!
Life is a crazy ROAD! I try really hard to put GOD in the driver seat, but the devil sure likes to hitch a ride.
Do we truly have TRUE friends? People are always out for their self! They don't really care about you and what is going on in your life!! It is about what they can do to make their self look good. Have you ever seen a person that calls himself (herself) a friend, a son (daughter), someone you can talk too and all along that person is just befriending you to get information,to make fun of you or just to say look what I have done for them or I know more then you do about their situation! Come on people let's get REAL! I am sick to my stomach to have to come in contact with people like this everyday of my life!
Have you ever really heard GOD calling you to do something and couldn't? COULDN'T because there are those people out there that are dragging you and your word down to better them selves! Why does life have to be this way? I pray for my self daily not to be one of those people and sometime because of life I don't like what I see!
I love the LORD! I am a Christian! I love people! I want to be TRUE! I want to be a good friend, Mother, daughter, sister! I don't want to be a FAKE! Please join me .....

Summer is Going Fast
Wow! Where has summer gone...
It has been busy this summer. It is hard to believe it is almost over. I have not had much time on the computer this summer, we have been very busy! Soccer camps, soccer practices, vacation to the mountains, M fuge, 4th of July, t-ball, I could go on and on, but I think you moms know what I mean!
Today I spent the day with my baby boy SCHOOL SHOPPING! That is so hard to believe! We did hit the JACKPOT in Jackson and now I can say I am finished with not only clothes, but school supplies for Noah! We did all this while "Sissy" (Anna) was at youth camp. When she gets home I will have to take her shopping.
This picture at the top of the page is of my favorite three! We traveled to the mountains this summer and had a blast! Anna Marie, Noah William and my third child Emily on the way up the Mountian to Cherokee, NC. We all had a blast and it was a cool vacation.

HE loves it! That is all he has talked about this week. "When is the next game, Mom?" He is one of the youngest ones on the team, but I think he is going to be really good a baseball! Noah William's Easter Basket (Nerf Gun, Frisbee, Nerf Balls, Candy ect.)
I just love Easter! It is my favorite time of the year. It was beautiful outside, cool, but not to cold. The weekend was great! It started on Good Friday, I did not have to work so Noah and I went to hunt for Easter shoes for his church outfit. We had a good day of shopping and just being together. Anna and her Nana were off to get their nails and toes done up pretty for Easter Sunday, so all was happy. That night when we got home Dunc and I enjoyed dying Easter eggs with the kids, so the Easter Bunny would have plenty of eggs to go in baskets. A blessed day of being together.
Saturday morning we were up early for the Children's Easter Breakfast and Easter Egg hunt at the church. Thanks to Ms. Amy Moak it was a very fun morning. The kids had cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk or juice for breakfast and the Easter Bunny showed up for pictures, it was great! Thanks Ms. Amy for the wonderful memories made at church on Easter 2009!
Saturday afternoon we talked Papa into boiling some Shrimp, potatoes and corn for us! Wow, what a treat! It was great...NOBODY boils Shrimp like Papa! Thanks Papa for being a great cook. More memories being made with the family!
Easter Sunday morning we were up early because the Easter Bunny had stopped by and dropped off some beautiful Easter Baskets for Anna and Noah! Thanks Easter Bunny they loved their baskets. Then it was on to the church for Easter Service. We had donuts, coffee and chocolate milk before service and then we had a wonderful musical put on by FBC of Bude's Adult Choir "My Chains are Gone", it was great! Thanks to Bro. Bobby Davis for directing the them, he did a great job! Bro. Moak preached and the Holy Spirit was there! HE is ALIVE!
Sunday afternoon was spent at Nana's, we had lots of food, fun and family! Papa and Nana, Dunc, me, Anna and Noah, Mark, Christy, Tanner and Kaitlyn, Judy, Scott and Dana, Hunter and Mamaw Dorothy! Just a blessed weekend! Lots of memories that will never be forgotten! Thank you Lord for being ALIVE in us...

~ Don't Feed The Zebras ~
Noah's 3 year old field trip to the GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER in Folsom, La
Hannah Jones, Noah McCormick, Krisalyn Jackson, Miller Lloyd and Shane Arnold
Nana with Noah and Shane on the Tractor Train getting ready to feed the animals
Miller, Shane, Krisalyn and Noah after the Easter Egg Hunt at GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER
Thanks goes to Ms. Carrie and Miller for making some bunny cupcakes for the picnic they had at the GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER(Noah loved them! YUM, YUM!)
Well, Wednesday was a great day! Ms. Jas took her 3 & 4 year old class on a field trip to Folsom, Louisiana to the GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER. The kids and grown up had a blast! If you have never been it is very worth a trip! It was a great outing for all.
We pack up the car with Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches and chips and cupcakes and Easter baskets and eggs and cameras and ice chest and lots of smiles and headed out. We all had a great time. Noah wanted his daddy to go, but it just did not work out. That was OK with Noah because Nana is always on call! She and I went with Noah. It was a perfect place and a perfect day. We had a picnic on the grounds of the GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER and they also had a Easter Egg Hunt. Lots of awesome memories were made!
The first thing the guide told the kids was "DON'T FEED THE ZEBRAS!" All the kids took that to heart and did just as the man said! Most of them would not even get close to the side with their feed cups when a Zebra came around. The Zebras are a little mean when it comes to feed and they will bite you! lol
Thanks Nana for going with us! We all had a great time....

~ Birthday Supper at Dixie Springs Cafe ~
Anna Marie (14 yrs. old, March 30th) and Emily Alyne (14 yrs. old, March 22nd)
Birthday "BOOTS", and may I say DESIGNER rain boots! NEW thing...
Anna's birthday cake (butter birthday cake, yum!)
Anna and Emily at Dixie Springs Cafe for their BIRTHDAY supper (PARTY!)
It started Friday, March 27th, the phone rang at work and it was Anna, she was so excited! She had studied so hard the night before for a BIG Science test and Math test and of course was stressing! (I have not ideal where she gets that!) She had made a 105 on the Big Science test and 96 on the Math test, she was so happy and ready to start celebrating her birthday. Bear in mind this was the 27th! So, her Daddy went to check her out of school to start the weekend. Of course when he got to the school to check her out, our 2nd daughter (Emily) was in the office waiting to join in the fun!
Friday night we took the girls to eat at BO BO's in Brookhaven and got caught up in the middle of a storm. We made it home and they started watching movie when the weather got worst and worst! At 12:05 a.m. Dunc and I made the kids go to the closet because the weather alarm was going off in Bude! The weather finely dead down and I closed my eyes about 3:00 a.m. Now I am the one who is up with the chickens at about 5:00 a.m. every morning, but NOT Saturday! 9:30 a.m. I woke up...I had promised the girls I would take them shopping for their designer rain boots for their birthday! As you can see we found just what they wanted!
Saturday night we made plans to take the girls to Dixie Springs Cafe for supper. Neither of the girls had ever ate there. They had a blast! We reserved the top room for the BIRTHDAY party. We had about 26 to show up and they eat and talked and dance and talked and eat and talked and just had a all around good time! Did I tell you they TALKED....They got lots of neat things for their birthday! PEACE SIGN, everything, that is cool you know! They enjoy being able to celebrate their birthdays together.
We love those two very much and I think we spoil them just a little!

Spring Break and A Day In The Park
The only time I had off on the kids spring break was Wednesday afternoon. We had plan to go to the movies, but there was nothing on the kids wanted to see. So I let them pick what they want to do. They both decided a picnic in the park would be fun! It was a beautiful day and their ideal of a picnic was Burger King! (ha, ha!)
So we went a pick up lunch and on to the Kids Kingdom we went. We had a nice spot for lunch and Noah was ready to go play! I found a nice bench and set to take pictures. They had a ball! We look up and here come Beth and Bailey, Noah was excited to have someone else to play with. Beth and I enjoy just sitting there watching them and getting to catch up. We look up again and here come Alisa Romero with her four children, Spencer, Leigha, Kathrine and Nathan! That really made Noah day. He and Nathan are buddies, so Noah enjoyed playing with him. Alisa joined Beth and I as we continued to caught up! It was a beautiful nice 3 hours of friends and fun!

A First for Noah
It has been a really busy March for our family. Dunc has two beautiful nieces who both decided to be married in March. Sarah was the first to be married on March 7, 2009 at Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez. She married Billy Williams. Billy has been a part of our family sense the day Noah was born in July 2005!
I will never forget the first time I met Billy, we had brought Noah home from the hospital, Sarah came to see him and brought Billy to meet us. I had been having trouble with headaches and had to go back to the hospital for a blood patch on my spinal cored, so I was flat on my back. That did not matter to Billy, he held and loved Noah, while I was flat on my back. He felt right at home. We fell in love with him than and it just felt like he was one of the family. So we are glad he has become a real family member. Noah and Billy bonded when Noah was just a few days old and they still have a very special bond!
With all that said, Billy and Sarah ask if Noah would be in their wedding when Noah was just 2 1/2 years old. Noah is now 3 1/2 years old and was the ring carrier in the wedding. I was so proud of him. He did a great job! Everything they told him to do he did. May I say he was very handsome too! I don't have pictures from the wedding yet, but I will soon! These are the pictures I took at rehearsal the night before. Noah got to stand with Austin and Patrick, who are my older nephews. (May I say he acted better then they did!) lol Just kidding guys....let's just say Austin and Patrick have taught him a few things! Even how to dance at the reception party! (Ha!Ha!)
It was a beautiful wedding! I pray for a long life together for the both of them and that my Noah grows up to be a good Christian man and find a good Christian wife like Billy and Sarah!
Last night as Sarah Womack, with decisions to be made!
BIG wedding party, 8 beautiful young ladies, one beautiful flower girl, 8 handsome young men and one very handsome ring carrier, Dr. Joe, groom and fill in bride.
Again, 8 beautiful young ladies with Natalie Smith as the flower girl, she is the daughter of Josh and Jennifer Smith. Noah loved Nat!
Again, 8 handsome young men with Noah William as the ring carrier. He was so handsome! HE IS MINE...(see Patrick up to his tricks!)
Billy Williams, the groom with Noah and Nat!

Blessings come in many ways!
I wish I had pictures, but I don't! I have to tell a quick story....
In the hustle and bustle, we get so caught up with our problems that it can take you over sometimes. There has been a lot going on around here, the logging business is not very good right now, the economy is terrible it seem no matter what you make it takes more to live these days! Teenager or should I say TeenMonster.... Just got a call last night about my cousin who has breast cancer, it is not good! When first found it was a stage one, after surgery yesterday and having both removed, it has now been moved to a stage four! She is 52 years old, never been married, has no children, she believes in our Lord and Savior and has a huge family support, but it is not good! Please keep her in your prayers. (Julie Mowad) Just stuff I could go on and on....
We all are blessed in so many ways, how do we count them? Do we give God the credit HE deserves? Yesterday afternoon I had a precious little boy walk in the clinic door with big blue eyes, blond hair and a BIG smile on his face! He look up at me and said Ms. Jill this is for you! In the most brightest orange envelope you have ever seen was a beautiful "Thank you!" He had made ME a card and made his mom bring him to give it to me! My day was blessed beyond measures....
It is simple, Isaac is about 6 and his brother and a friend had gotten a new puppy a couple of weeks ago, he never said anything about wanting one at that time! When he finely told his mom he wanted one she had to start the search. She call me at the clinic and told me if I knew anyone with Austrian Puppy please let her know. The search was on for Isaac a puppy! I ask around, but had not been successful in finding one. Friday afternoon, Isaac and his family stopped at the clinic to show me his new found puppy "STAR". They found him while in Brookhaven. That was the happiest little blue eyed boy with the Big smile on his face I had ever seen. I did not do anything, but in Isaac's eyes I helped him find his puppy. I don't know if he knows how much he has blessed my heart. I guess I should say he has stole my heart. Isaac will always have a special place in my heart! I love you... Isaac! Thank you Lord for little blessing like Isaac and "STAR".
Thank you Lord for the simplicity of life!

I have bee tagged by LEON! Leon tagged me with a photo challenge. Here are the rules:

Dixie National Rodeo
Yesterday was a great family day! Everyone knows when the Dixie National Rodeo is going on you become a "Real" cowboy!
Yes, I said a "Real" cowboy....Noah William had been wanting to go to the RODEO all week, so I surprised him and his sister with tickets for Sundays 3:00 pm show. It was worth it all watching my baby boy be a "Real" cowboy. (Ha!Ha!) He had a ball.
We played hookie from church to enjoy a family day. (I think the Lord would not have minded) I guess I should back up to Saturday. Noah wanted some new boots, boots like Thomas Patrick, you know green John Deer and nothing but! So we got up early Saturday morning to go to town to find some GREEN John Deer boots, and we did. He has not had them off sents we got them.
We let the kids sleep late Sunday and then off the Jackson we went. We were going to eat a light lunch in Brookhaven and after the Rodeo we were going to eat supper. When we got to Brookhaven the lights were out and NO fast food, so on we went. We got as far as Byram and stop to eat a the Backyard Burger for lunch, which Noah loved because it had a inside play ground, but the GREEN John Deer boots had to come off to play. He made the sacrifice! After lunch it was on to the Rodeo!
When we arrived I went straight to the box office to get our tickets, after talking to a machine I was a little scared of where we would be sitting. We had great seats! Noah's eye were big as coins the whole time. He watched everything that happen and will give you a play by play if you ask him!
The Oak Ridge Boys were the entertainment! Old as the hills and still got it, or so Anna and Emily thinks. (Ha!Ha!) The girls got to be right up at the stage when they were performing. They thought that was really COOL! We all had a great time. I am really blessed to have a wonderful Godly husband and father, along with a beautiful young lady for a daughter and lets not forget about my "Real" Cowboy.
May God bless you all!

ORDINARY DAY
I don't even know where to start!
Today is just another day, but today God answered two prayers. I have been praying for peace and joy in two situation in my life for about 4 months now, PRAISE God and thank you, Lord! HE answered two today...
It is amazing to see God work. Just when you are sitting there going "HELLO, do you hear me?" and feel as if HE is not on you main line at the moment, HE IS THERE! Just call, HE answers! That reminds me of the song "JESUS on the main line".
Ordinary day with an extraordinary friend!
"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you." Psalm 55:22

Fear
Do you sometimes feel that although you've been spending time with God, nothing happens? You wonder is God even there, or worse, if He has left you?
Guess who produces this fear of being alone with God? Rest assured that the last thing Satan wants is for us to spend time with God. He will attack in all sorts of ways because he knows that the more time we spend with God, the more we will recognize all the lies and fears that he has worked so hard to firmly plant in our minds.
When I decide to really seek God and listen for His voice, more than anything else, Satan will do everything he can to keep me distracted. He knows I will become a powerful adversary when I begin to listen to God. Don't let him fool you though; God will meet you any place, any time, no matter what's going on!
Ask HIM to meet you today. . .

Thanks!
A very special "Thank you!" from my family to yours, as some of you know my Dad had hip replacement surgery New Years Eve. He is doing very good! Everything went well and he is on his way to a long recovery period, so I want to say "Thanks" for your prayers and please continue to pray for him and my Mother. He is still in the hospital at Baptist in Jackson. We hope he will get to come home to the Franklin Co. Hospital on Monday to continue his recovery and therapy! He will be in the hospital for 14 to 21 days so he needs your prayers. . . Thanks!
